Vera needed help to find her old friend and work colleague Rose, whose address she had lost some years ago. Every year, Vera received a Christmas card from Rose including a few lines of news about her present situation but crucially, without giving her current address. Sadly, each year Vera was unable to return the greeting.
Although Vera had lost Rose's home address, she knew that Rose had been widowed and re-married but couldn't remember her new surname. Vera was however, able to remember Rose's first husband's full name, so the search started with the online GRO Indexes to find Rose's first marriage details. This led to finding a marriage entry for her second marriage and ultimately, her new surname.
A quick search using Peopletracer.s online people search provided Rose's address and telephone number and Vera was soon chatting to Rose who was delighted to be put in touch with her old friend. In spite of Rose's advancing years, she remembered the good times spent with Vera and her family and the happy days they had as work colleagues in the late 1950's.
