Sister and Brother find each other for the first time

Posted on Wednesday 9th May 2012

Patricia, who lives in Tyne and Wear, had never known Marie and Joseph, her sibling twins. She knew of their existence and the fact that her mother had put them into foster care at birth. She had also been informed that they had not been adopted. Patricia's own enquiries revealed that Joseph had joined the army at 17, but had since left.

Desperate to find both siblings she turned to Peopletracer for help. The twins potentially had two surnames, their surname at birth and the name of their foster parent. Firstly, their names at birth were researched, but with no success. Patricia knew the foster parents’ surname, so performed a search for this instead. The twins had been born in 1967, and search results showed a match for Joseph, with an address in Whitley Bay. Patricia immediately went ahead and contacted Joseph who was overjoyed to find out he had another sister.

A happy result but with a twist, Joseph had lost touch with Marie and extensive searches of Peopletracer's electoral rolls failed to turn up any further information. Watch this space as one way or another Patricia aims to find Marie and ultimately reunite the whole family.
