Our Marriage Index database includes a record of every registered marriage that occurred in England and Wales in the period 1984-2005 inclusive.

Records are updated annually with approximately 500,000 new marriages and our database is the most comprehensive and up to date available anywhere on the internet today.

Our search results include the following information on both parties:

Surname
Forename
Middle Initials
Month & Year of Entry
Registration District

It does not include a copy of the actual marriage certificate. This needs to be ordered separately from UK Certificates

If you require a marriage search prior to 1984, all records in England and Wales from 1837-1983 can be accessed at UK Certificates. They also hold marriage records for Scotland and Northern Ireland.
